Steering Shaft Removal And Installation Procedure
Removal Procedure
1. Position the steering wheel in the straight ahead position.2. Install the pin into the steering frame lock link in order to lock the frames.
Illustration 1. (1) Nut. (2) Bolt. (3) 130-1246 Pilot Valve.(4) 130-5465 Steering Shaft Assembly.3. Remove nut (1) and bolt (2) from the lower end of 130-5465 Steering Shaft Assembly (4).

Remove 112-9716 Lever (5) and 130-5465 Steering Shaft Assembly (4), as a single unit, from the keyed steering shaft.5. Remove 130-5465 Steering Shaft Assembly (4) from the machine.Installation Procedure
Illustration 3.(5) 112-9716 Lever.(6) Clamp bolt. (A) 6.0 mm (.236 in).1. Position the steering link assembly in place on the machine. Install 112-9716 Lever (5) and 130-5465 Steering Shaft Assembly (4) on the keyed steering shaft, leaving gap (A). Install clamp bolt (6). Failure to hold dimension (A) at installation will cause wandering and inconsistent steering.2. The bottom yoke of steering shaft (4) and the shaft of 130-1246 Pilot Valve (3) must be centered, in the straight ahead position. Tighten bolt (2) to a torque of 55 10 N m (40.4 7.4 lb ft).
