(4) Bucket Position Anisotropic Magneto-Resistive (AMR) SensorThe Anisotropic Magneto-Resistance (AMR) Sensor can detect a broad range of movements. The AMR is an integrated design consisting of two components; a sensor and a magnet. The AMR Sensor is used to detect the position of the bucket in relation to the stick. The AMR continuously generates PWM signals and communicate the signals to the machine ECM.When the ECM receives the PWM signal, the ECM measures the pulse duration to determine the position of the bucket and the angle in relation to the stick.Vertical Slider Joystick

Assist System
The assist systems can be enabled from the "Function List" monitor menu while Assist is active.Several features are available to the operator for ease of use and protection against damage to surrounding assets. These features include:

The machine ECM receives the signal from the stick, bucket, and boom levers. The ECM also uses the boom and the stick cylinder sensors, and position sensors. The ECM controls the boom 1 and boom 2 cylinder extend solenoids. The ECM raises the boom automatically during stick operations when the stick rod or stick head pressure is high. The ECM also limits the boom down operation when boom head pressure is low. This operation raises the boom to prevent stalling of the stick during digging and leveling operations.Bucket Assist
The system automatically maintains bucket angle relative to the machine. This feature helps reduce operator fatigue and improves productivity.The machine ECM receives the signal from the stick, bucket, and boom levers. The ECM also uses the boom and the stick cylinder sensors, and the boom, bucket, and stick position sensors. The ECM will control the bucket cylinder extend and retract solenoids to maintain a constant bucket angle. The bucket will remain at a constant angle even though the stick and the boom positions are changed. The bucket recall and store button on the joystick is used to maintain and return to the stored angle. The bucket angle can be overridden by operating the bucket.Grade Assist
