Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contamination of the hydraulic system with foreign material will reduce the service life of the hydraulic system components.To prevent contaminants from entering the hydraulic system, always plug or cap the lines, fittings, or hoses as they are disconnected. Cover any disassembled components and clean them properly before assembly.Clean the hydraulic system properly after any major component exchange or especially after a component failure, to remove any contamination.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Position track idler (3) into a suitable press in order to install bearings (10). Repeat for opposite side.

Install Duo-Cone Seal Gp (8).

Install O-rings (9) onto shaft (5).
Install Duo-Cone Seal Gp (8) into seal collar (7).
Install seal collar (7) onto shaft (4).
Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (6).

Install shaft (5) from opposite side.
Install Duo-Cone Seal Gp (4) into seal collar (2). Install Duo-Cone Seal Gp (3) into the track idler.

Install seal collar (2) from idler (3).
Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (1).

Remove filler plug (11).
Fill to proper capacity. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities and Refill Capacities".

Install the filler plug. End By:
Install the rear idler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly , "Idler - Install".
