A reset of the engine ECM may occur when you use the status parameter functions or while you view an active diagnostics screen in Cat ET 2002B SP-2. The engine may hesitate or the engine may shut down when a reset of the ECM occurs. Cat ET could connect and Cat ET could reconnect during the reset of the ECM. The Cat ET status flag boxes may toggle on and off when a reset occurs.Note: The reset of the engine ECM is present on engines with software that is dated February 2001 or older.If you experience a reset of the ECM, update your current version of Cat ET to ET 2003A.
