Change Filters
Illustration 1091. Remove the oil filters with a strap-type wrench.
Illustration 1102. Clean the sealing surface of the filter mounting base. Make sure all of the old seal is removed.
Illustration 1113. Apply a small amount of clean hydraulic oil to each new filter gasket.
Do NOT fill the hydraulic oil filters with oil before installing them. This oil would not be filtered and could be contaminated. Contaminated oil will cause accelerated wear to hydraulic components.
4. Install the new filters until the gasket contacts the base. Tighten each filter three-quarters of a turn more by hand. Do not over tighten.5. Start engine. Check filters for leaks.6. Check hydraulic oil level. Add if necessary.
