Incorrect alignment of the front wheels may cause component wear and premature component failure. This procedure provides a method to determine if the alignment of the front wheels is correct. Park the machine on a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.

Press throttle control switch (3) in order to place the engine in low idle. Note: Two things indicate when the engine is at low idle. First, the engine rpm will appear on machine display (4). Second, the indicator light next to the throttle switch will go out.

Move engine start switch (5) to the OFF position in order to shut off the engine. Test Procedure

Use Tool (A) to measure the distance between the centerlines of pins (7) of tie rod (6). The distance should be 1500 2 mm (59.05 0.01 inch).
If the measurement is outside the specified range, go to "Adjustment Procedure". Adjustment Procedure

Loosen clamp bolt (8) on either side of tie rod (6). Adjust the tie rod until the distance between the centerlines of pins (7) of the tie rod is 1500 2 mm (59.05 0.01 inch).
Tighten clamp bolt (8) on both sides of the machine.
