Information:

Before using the machine with remote control do a walk around inspection. Check levels of oil and water and check for leaks and damage.Operate the machine manually to ensure that all controls operate normally and the brakes operate effectively.When the machine is in remote control mode, always ensure that nobody is near the machine or in the machine operating area.Under no circumstances should any service work or Testing and Adjusting be carried out on the machine while the machine is operating in remote control.
Park the machine in a convenient and safe location to start remote control operation.
Engage the parking brake on the machine.
Lower all implements to the ground. Activate the hydraulic lockout switch.
Place the key switch of the machine in the OFF position to shut down the engine.

Confirm that the manual override switch (36) is in the remote position.

Do not attempt to access the ground level service center when the machine is in motion. Serious injury or death may occur. Place the implements on the ground and apply the parking brake before accessing the ground level service center.
Proceed to the Ground Level Service Center at the rear of the machine.
Confirm that the Engine Shutdown switch (34) is in REMOTE position (pulled out).
Place the Manual/Remote Mode switch (31) in REMOTE position.Note: The blue indicator light on top of the machine will now be solid blue.Preliminary Remote Console Checks

Take note of the area around the machine and walk to the side of the machine about 15 m (50 ft) away.
Confirm that the Commanded Stop switch (26) on the remote console is turned off, turn the switch in the clockwise direction in order to disengage.
Turn the following switches to the default position.
"IMPLEMENT LOCKOUT" (18) ON
"PARKING BRAKE" (27) ON
"MACHINE POWER/ENGINE CRANK" (25) OFF
"IMPLEMENTS CONTROL" (13) CENTER
"STEERING / DIRECTION CONTROL" (4) CENTERNote: The default positions of these switches are noted by yellow icons.
Make sure that the operator console is upright.Note: The operator console has a built-in inclinometer which prevents operation when the console is tilted past 60 degrees in any direction.
Turn the operator console power switch (16) to the "ON" position in order to power on the operator console. The Commanded Stop LED (51) will blink slowly. Then, the Status Display LCD will show three dashes that signify that the radios have not established a link.
Quickly cycle the Commanded Stop switch (26) from on
