Release the hydraulic system pressure. Reference: Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release" in this manual.
Drain the oil from the hydraulic oil tank into a suitable container for storage or disposal. The capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is 370 L (98 US gal).

Remove four bolts (1), the washers, and cover plate (2) underneath the main control valve.

Remove six bolts (3), the washers, and cover plate (4) above the main control valve.Note: Some hose assemblies and tube assemblies which are connected to the main control valve contain loose components. These components can be lost during removal and installation of the main control valve. Use care when you disconnect hose assemblies and tube assemblies from the main control valve.
For installation purposes, put identification marks on all hose assemblies, tube assemblies and electrical connectors that are connected to the main control valve.

Oil will drain from 13 hose assemblies (5) that are connected to the bottom side of the main control valve when the hoses are disconnected. Place a suitable container under the main control valve in order to contain the drain oil.
Disconnect 13 hose assemblies (5) from the bottom side of the main control valve. Put plugs in the ends of the hose assemblies in order to prevent oil loss. Plugs also keep contaminants out of the hydraulic system.

Disconnect ten hose assemblies (6) from the top rear side of the main control valve.
Disconnect two electrical connectors (7) from the main control valve.
Disconnect eight hose assemblies (8) from the top side of the main control valve. Put plugs in the ends of the hose assemblies in order to prevent oil loss. Plugs also keep contaminants out of the hydraulic system.
Disconnect hose assembly (9) from each side of the main control valve. Put plugs in the ends of the hose assemblies in order to prevent oil loss. Plugs also keep contaminants out of the hydraulic system.

Disconnect 15 tube assemblies (10) from the front side of the main control valve. Put plugs in the ends of the hose assemblies in order to prevent oil loss. Plugs also keep contaminants out of the hydraulic system.

Disconnect two hose assemblies (11) from the lower right side of the main control valve. Put plugs in the ends of the hose assemblies in order to prevent oil loss. Plugs also keep contaminants out of the hydraulic system.
Remove four bolts (13) and the washers from slow return check valve (12) .

Disconnect two large hose assemblies (14) from the back side of the main control valve. Put plugs in the ends of the hose assemblies in order to prevent oil loss. Plugs also keep contaminants out of the hydraulic system.

Disconnect five small hose assemblies (15) from the back side of the main control valve.

Fasten Tool (A) and a hoist to main control valve (16), as shown. Put slight lifting tension on the main control
