a) Remove valve spool (1) from the body.b) Remove valve spool (2) from the body.c) Put pressure on spring (8). Remove ring (5) and stop (6) from the stem assembly. Release the pressure on the spring slowly.d) Remove stem assembly (10), valve (9), spring (8) and spacer (7). Remove dowel (11), spring (4) and ball (3) from the end of the stem assembly.2. Disassemble the flow control valve as follows: a) Remove three bolts (12). Remove flow control valve (13) from the pressure control valve. b) Remove bolts (18) and plate (14).c) Remove stop (15), spring (16) and plunger (17) from the body. 3. Disassemble the pressure control valve as follows: a) Remove four bolts (19) and cover (20). b) Remove pin (21) and stop (27) from the valve body.c) Remove slug (22), valve (23) and spring (24) from the valve body.d) Remove piston (26) from the body assembly. Remove spacers (25) from the piston.e) Remove pin (29) and pin (30) from stop (28).f) Remove plunger (31) and spring (32) from the body. Remove valve (34) from body assembly (33).Assemble Transmission Hydraulic Controls
1. Assemble the flow control valve as follows: a) Install valve (1) in the body. Install spring (2) and stop (3) in the body.b) Put plate (4) over the end of the body.c) Install the lock and two bolts (5).2. Assemble the pressure control valve as follows: a) Put stop (7) in position in body (11). Make sure the hole in the stop is in alignment with the hole in the body. Install pin (6).b) Install stop (18) in body (11). Make sure the hole in the stop is in alignment with the hole in the body. Install pins (16) and (17).c) Install slug (8) in spool (9). Install the spool in the body. Install plunger (19) in the body.d) Install spring (10) in spool (9). Install spring (20) in plunger (19).e) Put spacers (13) in piston (12) as shown.f) Install valve (22) in body assembly (21). Slide piston (12) in the body assembly as shown.g) Put the body assembly in position on the body. Install the two O-ring seals, cover (14) and the bolts (15) that hold the pressure control valve together. Tighten bolts (15) to a torque of 35 3 lb.ft. (47.5 4.1 N m).h) Install the flow control valve on the pressure control valve. 3. Assemble the selector and safety valve as follows: a) Install spool (34) and spool (33) in the valve body as shown.b) Install ball (27), spring (26) and dowel (24) in stem assembly (28).c) Put the stem assembly in valve (23). Slide spring (29) and spacer (30) over the stem assembly. Install spacer over the stem assembly as shown.d) Put the safety valve in position in the valve body. Put pressure on spring (29) and install stop (31) and ring (32). Release the pressure from the spring.end by:a) install transmission hydraulic controls(See ASSEMBLE TRANSMISSION AND TRANSFER GEARS)
