Personal injury can result from flame cutting or welding on painted areas.The effect of gasses from burned paint is a hazard to the person doing the cutting or welding.Do not flame cut or weld on painted areas.
Before carrying out arc welding on the machine or on any equipment attached to the machine, disconnect all power and ground leads from the batteries in order to avoid possible damage to electronic components.
Identification of Undercarriages and Roller Frames
The undercarriages can be identified by counting six rows of wheels from front to back or by part numbers.

Position the plate on the back side of the front crossmember. Position the plate 32 mm (1.26 inch) from top of the crossmember. The short side of bracket should be flush with the side of the roller frame. This is the side that has the chamfer.
Weld around the top and the underside of the plate. Use a 9 mm (0.35 inch) fillet weld. Duplicate the procedure for the other side of roller frame.
