The intent of this Service Letter is to provide after failure coverage for 797 and 797B Off-Highway Truck transmission clutch 1 and/or clutch 2 failures only.
Refer to the Service Manual if/as necessary to rework the transmission. Please note the transmission requires a full removal from chassis and complete transmission disassembly for repairing a clutch 1 and/or clutch 2 failure.
