1. Disconnect electrical connectors (1) and (2) from brake accumulator charging valve assembly (3). 2. Disconnect hose assemblies (4) and (5) from brake accumulator charging valve assembly (3). 3. Disconnect hose assembly (6) from brake accumulator charging valve assembly (3). 4. Disconnect hose assemblies (7), (8), (9) and (10) from brake accumulator charging valve assembly (3). 5. Remove two bolts (11) and washers that hold brake accumulator charging valve assembly (3) to the rear frame. Remove the charging valve assembly. The following steps are for the installation of the brake accumulator charging valve assembly. 6. Put brake accumulator charging valve assembly (1) in position on the rear frame as shown. Install two bolts (2) and washers that hold the brake accumulator charging valve assembly to the rear frame. 7. Connect hose assemblies (3), (4), (5) and (6) to brake accumulator charging valve assembly (1). 8. Connect hose assembly (7) to brake accumulator charging valve assembly (1). 9. Connect hose assemblies (8) and (9) to brake accumulator charging valve assembly (1). 10. Connect electrical connectors (10) and (11) to brake accumulator charging valve assembly (1).11. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. Refer to R1600 L.H.D. Operation & Maintenance Manual, Form No. SEBU7322 (9EP0575) for the correct filling procedure.12. Start by:a. Remove brake accumulator charging valve.
Typical Example1. Remove plugs (1) and (2). 2. Remove plunger (3), piston (4), spring (5) and O-ring seal (6) from plug (2).3. Remove two springs (7), two pistons (8) and spool (10). Remove two O-ring seals (9) from spool (10). Remove O-ring seal (11) from plug (1). 4. Remove plugs (12) and (13). 5. Remove piston (14), ball (15), plunger (16) and spring (17) from under plug (13). Remove O-ring seal (18) from plug (13).6. Remove spool (20), spring seat (21) and springs (22) and (23) from under plug (12). Remove O-ring seal (24) from plug (12). Remove O-ring seal (19) from spool (20). 7. Remove plugs (25) and (31). Remove set screw (27), spring (28), plunger (29) and ball (30) from under plug (25). Remove O-ring seal (26) from plug (25). Remove O-ring seal (32) from plug (31). 8. Remove plug (33) and the O-ring seal.9. Remove valve (34). 10. Remove O-ring seal (35) from valve (34). Remove O-ring seal (37) and back-up ring (36) from valve (34).Assemble Brake Accumulator Charging Valve
1. Be sure all parts of the brake accumulator charging valve are thoroughly clean and free of dirt and debris prior to assembly. Check the condition of all O-ring seals. If any of the seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. 2. Install O-ring seal (4) and back-up ring (3) on valve (1). Install O-ring seal (2) on valve (1). 3. Install valve (1).4. Install plug (5) and the O-ring seal.
