(3) Transmission inlet/outlet lines for transmission oil going to oil cooler The oil cooler for the transmission is bolted to the bottom of the flywheel housing between the engine and the torque converter. Oil from the torque converter is sent to the transmission oil cooler (1) through lines (3). The oil is cooled by engine coolant. Oil from the oil cooler is returned to the torque converter through lines (3). The cooled oil is then used to lubricate the transmission. Temperature sensor (2) is mounted on the bottom of the torque converter near the fittings for lines (3). The temperature sensor monitors the temperature of the oil.
