Save the updated ECM configuration file to a safe file location. Refer to illustration 5.The resulting ECM file must be saved in XML format and emailed to updated_ECM_files.There is no pro-active requirement for the updated ECM configuration files. This information is only required when alterations are made to the ECM configuration file through troubleshooting, servicing, and routine maintenance.Note: If ECM parameters are changed during troubleshooting procedures, Caterpillar only requires the final set ECM parameters once the engine has been put back into operation.This process will provide up-to-date ECM configuration data that is accessible via Technical Marketing Information (TMI).
