Install a 4C-9910 Hydraulic Flow Meter. Operate the engine at high idle. Measure the flow of the push-pull hydraulic pump at 690 kPa (100 psi). Measure the flow of the push-pull hydraulic pump at 6900 kPa (1000 psi).Use the following calculation in order to find the percent flow loss of the push-pull hydraulic pump:

Determine if the bench test of the push-pull hydraulic pump can be performed at 6900 kPa (1000 psi) at the maximum pump rpm. Use the data that was obtained from the preceding test to make calculations.If the bench test of the push-pull hydraulic pump cannot be performed at 6900 kPa (1000 psi) at the maximum pump rpm, operate the push-pull hydraulic pump at 1000 rpm. Measure the flow of the push-pull hydraulic pump at 690 kPa (100 psi). Measure the flow of the push-pull hydraulic pump at 6900 kPa (1000 psi). Operate the push-pull hydraulic pump at 2000 rpm. Measure the flow of the push-pull hydraulic pump at 690 kPa (100 psi).Calculate the percent flow loss according to the following Table:
