1. Drain the coolant from the radiator. Put identification marks on bolts (1) and (3) as to their location. These bolts are longer than all the other bolts and must be installed in the same location.2. Remove bolts (4) and cover (2) from the housing.
Typical Example3. Remove the bolts and elbows (5) from the engine.
Typical Example4. Use care and pry evenly on both sides to remove four adapters (6) from the housing. 5. Remove bolts (7) and core assembly (8) from the housing. If necessary, remove the O-ring seals from the core assembly. 6. Remove bolts (9) and housing (10) from the engine. Remove the gasket from under the housing.Install Aftercooler
1. Clean and inspect all parts of the aftercooler. Make a replacement of all parts that are worn or damaged.2. Make sure all gasket surfaces are clean and free of dirt.3. Install a new gasket and housing (1) on the engine as shown. 4. Install O-ring seals (2) on the core assembly. Put glycerine on the O-ring seals. 5. Put core assembly (3) in position in the housing, and install the bolts that hold it.
Typical Example6. Put O-ring seals (4) in position as shown, and install four adapters (5) in the housing.
Typical Example7. Install elbows (6) on the engine. 8. Install a new gasket and cover (7) on the housing. Install the bolts that hold it. Make sure the two longest bolts are installed at the fuel injection line brackets (8) [see illustration B77899P2].9. Fill the radiator with coolant.
