(1) Filler band (2) O-ring sealsUse the following procedure to install the cylinder liner:
Apply liquid soap to the liner bore surfaces of the cylinder block and to the O-ring seals just prior to cylinder liner installation.
Put the filler band completely in clean engine oil for a moment.
Install filler band (1) in the groove under the liner flange immediately.
Install the cylinder liner in the cylinder block immediately before the filler band expands. (A) Bore in the new cylinder liner ... 120.675 0.037 mm (4.7510 0.0015 inch)The maximum "use again" bore dimension for the cylinder liner ... 120.78 mm (4.755 inch) (B) Thickness of the flange on the cylinder liner ... 10.282 0.020 mm (0.4048 0.0008 inch)Note: Refer to the Reuse And Salvage Guidelines, SEBF8049 or refer to the Guideline for Reusable Parts and Salvage Operations, SEBF8068 for more information on pistons and cylinder liners.
