Password Entry Screen
Some of the features of the machine menu are password protected. A password must be entered prior to performing these tasks:
Configuring certain parameters in "Settings"
Deleting logged level 1 and level 2 diagnostic and event codesThe display will bring up the password screen automatically when a password is needed. Once a password has been entered, the display will not ask for a password again until the next key cycle. The password length can be from 1 to 5 numbers. When entering the password, any leading zeros can be ignored. For example, if the password is "123", the password would be entered into the 5-digit entry screen as "1, 2, 3," with the remaining two right spaces left blank. Press the "OK" key to submit the entered password.Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat® ET) may be used to view and/or change the password using the configuration section for the Monitoring System.Note: The factory default password is the last three digits of the machine serial number with the two right spaces left blank.Calibrations (Machine Slope)
The following calibration parameters can be manually adjusted using the monitor:
Machine Slope Calibration
Machine Side Slope Calibration
Illustration 6 g03823803
"Calibration" menuThese slope parameters are used, as a reference, in determining the slopes of the machine chassis. The slope references account for grade control sensor mounting inaccuracies and potential sensor drift over life of the sensor. To verify accuracy, park the machine on an even concrete surface and measure the pitch and roll directions of the surface with a digital level. Pitch is the degrees up or down of the surface the machine is parked on (for Slope). Roll is the degrees left or right of the machine parking surface (for Slide Slope). Use these measurements to set the known slope values for the machine.Once a calibration is selected, the display will provide information and instruction. When a new slope value is confirmed, software will calculate an offset between the sensor reading and the actual value entered.

"ECM Summary" menuThe "ECM Summary" menu option allows the user to display a list of all the ECMs. The summary also displays the associated part numbers for the ECMs that are on the machine. Limp Home Mode (Implement)
Illustration 10 g03754617
"Implement Limp Home" menu option allows slow incremental movement of the following functions:
"Blade Raise"
"Blade Tilt"
"Ripper Raise" (if equipped)The movements listed above are done without using the implement control levers. "Implement Limp Home" mode may be selected by the operator or the technician to move implements to a safe position in the event of a major failure in one of the machine systems. An example would be a failure of the bulldozer control lever.
From the "Service" menu, use the Four-way button to highlight the "Implement Limp Home" option.
Press the "OK" button to access the "Implement Limp Home" menu. This menu will display a list of implements that can be slowly moved by using the keys on the Monitoring System Display.
