Start By:a. remove cushion hitch 1. Using Tooling (A), remove the sleeve bearings from the bottom front section of the hitch. 2. Remove the outer bearings from the rear of the hitch.3. Remove the retaining rings from the rear inner bearings of the hitch.4. Weld plates on the ends of the rear inner bearings, and remove them with a hammer and punch. 5. Using Tooling (A), remove the rear bearing from the differential case.6. Remove the two seals from the front bearings on the differential case. 7. Using Tooling (B), remove the two front bearings from the differential case.Install Hitch Horizontal Bearings
1. Using Tooling (B), install the two bearings in the front bearing cage of the differential case. When installing the bearings, the bearing faces must be a minimum depth of 1.24 mm (.490 in). 2. Using Tooling (C), install the two seals in the front bearing cage of the differential case. 3. Using Tooling (A), install the two bearings in the rear bearing cage of the differential case. 4. Using Tooling (A), install the two bearings in the rear bearing cage of the hitch. Install the two retaining rings on the rear bearings. Install the outer bearings on the rear bearings.5. Using Tooling (A), install the two bearings in the front bearing cage of the hitch.End By:a. install cushion hitch
