1. Stop the machine with the bucket flat on the ground.2. Disconnect the tilt link from the tilt lever. See Tilt Link for the correct procedure. 3. Fasten chain (1) or a nylon strap to the tilt lever as shown to hold it in position. 4. Put alignment marks on tube (6) for assembly purposes.5. Loosen two bolts (3) and lock nut (5).6. Tighten setscrew (4) until tube (6) can be moved in bracket (2). 7. Slide tube (6) toward the rear of the machine to provide clearance so that magnet assembly (8) and pin (10) can be removed.8. Loosen two setscrews (7), and remove magnet assembly (8) from the pin.9. Remove bolt (9), washer and spacer that hold pin (10). 10. Fasten a nylon strap and a hoist to the tilt cylinder as shown.11. Use tooling (A), and remove pin (10) that connects the tilt cylinder to the tilt lever. 12. Put pin (10) in position in the bore of the tilt lever, and install the spacer, washer and bolt that hold it in place.13. Fasten a nylon strap and a hoist to pin (10) as shown.14. Remove chain (1) from the lower pin bore of the tilt lever.15. Remove bolt (11), washer and spacer that hold pin (12). 16. Put tooling (B) in position on pin (12) as shown.17. Use tooling (B), and remove pin (12) that connects tilt lever (13) to the lift arm assembly.18. Remove tilt lever (13) from the machine. The weight of the tilt lever is 150 kg (330 lb.). 19. Put tilt lever (13) in position on wooden blocks as shown.20. Remove lip-type seal (14) from both sides of the tilt lever. 21. Use tooling (C), and remove the bearings from tilt lever (13).Install Tilt Lever
1. Use tooling (A), and install the bearings in the tilt lever. Install the bearings in each side to a depth of 9.5 1.0 mm (.37 .04 in.) below the outside surface of the lever. 2. Use tooling (B), and install lip-type seal (1) on each side of the lever. The lip of the seals must be toward the outside as shown. 3. Fasten a nylon strap and a hoist to tilt lever (2), and put it in position on the lift arm assembly as shown.4. Put the bore of tilt lever (2) in alignment with the bores of the lift arm assembly.5. Install pin (3) that holds the tilt lever in place. 6. Install spacer, washer and bolt (4) that hold pin (3) in place. 7. Fasten chain (5) or a nylon strap to the tilt lever as shown to hold it in position. 8. Fasten a nylon strap and a hoist to the tilt cylinder, and put it in position on the tilt lever.9. Install pin (6) that connects the tilt cylinder to the tilt lever. 10. Install spacer, washer and bolt (8) that hold the pin in place.11. Install magnet assembly (9), and tighten two setscrews (7) that hold the magnet
