This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3370[s2]" as the Part number and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception:If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3370[s3]" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The Electronic Transmission Control(II) needs to be changed in VIMS equipped 793,793B, and 793C Trucks to increase the service life. The transmission speed sensor may also need to be changed if PI3160 or PI3268 was not performed or the latest sensor was not installed at the factory.

1 - 3K0360 SEAL-O-RING (Use if Required)1 - 1108388 FILM-EPTC-II (All VIMS Equipped Affected Product)1 - 1440178 SENSOR-GP (If not equipped/installed on PI31601 - 1785174 CONTROL-GROUP (All VIMS Equipped Affected Product) A 1440178 Sensor Group was installed when PI3160 was implemented. The 1440178 Sensor Group can only be claimed on this program if PI3160 was not completed.
Action Required
1. Download the existing EPTC-II before removal. Rectify any recorded faults before proceeding with installation of the new control. Retain a copy of down load data in work order file.2. Inspect chassis harness and connectors for any damage. Replace harness if there is any signs of damage.3. Refer service manual: remove EPTC-II control. Install new 178-5174 Control. If not previously reworked under PI3160 or PI3268, install a new 144-0178 Speed Sensor. Lockwire the harness connector after installation.Owner Notification
