1. Turn the ignition switch to on. Loosen fuel inlet fitting (3) at the injection pump and operated priming lever (4) on the fuel transfer pump by lifting up. When fuel flows freely with no air around the threads, tighten fitting (3) to a torque of 13.3 N m (120 lb in). If the cam lobe on the camshaft that drives the fuel transfer pump is on maximum lift, priming lever will not work. Turn the engine until priming lever can be operated. 2. Loosen hydraulic head vent screw (2) on the side of the pump body.3. Loosen vent screw (1) on the front side of the governor control housing.4. Operate priming lever (4) on fuel transfer pump until fuel flows free of air bubbles from screws (1) and (2). Tighten governor vent screw (1) first and then hydraulic head vent screw (2). Tighten the screws to a torque of 4.6 N m (40 lb in).5. Loosen the nut (5) at the nozzle end of the fuel injection line.6. Set the accelerator at the full open position and make sure the shutoff control is in the RUN position.7. Turn the engine with the starting motor until fuel, free from air bubbles, flows from the nut (5) of the fuel injection line.8. Tighten the nut (5) of the fuel injection line to a torque of 20 N m (15 lb in).9. The engine should start. If it does not, repeat steps 1-8.Cab Air Filter
Clean the Filter Element
Clean the filter element weekly, but daily when there is a reduction of air circulation. 1. Remove the cover.2. Remove and clean the filter element. See "Cleaning the Filter Element."3. Install the cleaned filter element.4. Replace the cover and tighten the retainers. 5. Repeat the procedure in the cab for the small recirculation filter. Do not clean the elements by bumping or tapping them.Inspect the elements after cleaning. Do not use an element with damaged pleats, gaskets or seals.When cleaning with pressure air, use 205 kPa (30 psi) maximum to prevent element damage by too much air pressure.When cleaning with pressure water, use 280 kPa (40 psi) maximum pressure to prevent element damage.

1. Direct air along pleats inside and outside of the element.2. Direct the water along the inside and outside of the pleats.3. Air dry and inspect the element to see if any debris remains visible.Fuse Panel and Circuit Breaker
Replace Fuses
Move the latch to open the panel cover for access.
Always replace fuses with ones of the correct ampere rating to avoid electrical system damage.
