Raise the temperature of bearing cone (21).
Install bearing cone (21).

Raise the temperature of bearing cone (30).

Raise the temperature of bearing cones (19) and (18).
Install bearing cones (19) and (18).

Install link (16), shaft (14), and roll pin (15).

Apply Tooling (F) to the mating surfaces of the housings.
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to housing (4). The weight of housing (4) is approximately 36 kg (80 lb). Install housing (4).
Apply Tooling (G) to the threads of bolts (3). Install bolts (3).

Lower the temperature of bearing cups (7), (10), and (13).
Install bearing cups (7), (10), and (13).

Install the shims, retainer (5), cover (9), cover (12), and the bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 31 N m (276 lb in).

Remove the pipe plug.
Install Tooling (K) and Tooling (L).
Use a suitable pry bar, Tooling (K), and Tooling (L) to achieve an endplay measurement that is in between 0.127 mm (0.005 inch) and 0.2032 mm (0.008 inch). Remove and install the shims as needed.
Apply Tooling (N) to the threads of the pipe plug. Install the pipe plug.

Remove the pipe plug.
Install Tooling (K) and Tooling (L).
Use a suitable pry bar, Tooling (K), and Tooling (L) to achieve an endplay measurement that is in between 0.127 mm (0.005 inch) and 0.2032 mm (0.008 inch). Remove and install the shims as needed.
Apply Tooling (N) to the threads of the pipe plug. Install the pipe plug.

Install Tooling (K), Tooling (M), and nut (1).Note: Use Tooling (M) and nut (1) for leverage.
Use a suitable pry bar, Tooling (K), and Tooling (M) to achieve an endplay measurement that is in between 0.127 mm (0.005 inch) and 0.2032 mm (0.008 inch). Remove and install the shims as needed.

Remove the bolts, cover (12), cover (9), and retainer (5).
Apply Tooling (F) to retainer (5), cover (9), and cover (12).
Install retainer (5), cover (9), cover (12), and the bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 31 N m (274 lb in).

Apply Tooling (F) to the splines of yoke (2).
Install yoke (2) and nut (1). Repeat for the opposite side.
