At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the hydraulic system before and hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.
3. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system as follows: a. Shut off the engine.b. Move the control levers through their full travel strokes. This will relieve any pressure that may be present in the pilot system.c. Slowly loosen the air breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.d. Tighten the air breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank.e. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. Lines and components can now be removed. To release the pressure in the attachment cylinders, carefully loosen the two large plugs near the plugs at the top of the loader frame. When the oil from the loosened plugs stops draining, tighten the two large plugs. Lower bucket on solid surface to remove pressure on pin assemblies. 4. Remove bolt, washer and spacer (1) and pin assembly (2).5. Disconnect tilt cylinder (3) from tilt lever (4). 6. Remove bolt, washer and spacer (5) and pin assembly (6).7. Disconnect tilt link (7) from tilt lever (4). 8. Attach strap and suitable lifting device to tilt lever (4).9. Remove bolt, washer and spacer (8) and pin assembly (9).10. Remove tilt lever (4). The weight of the lever assembly is 46 kg (101 lb). Lubricate pins with 5P0960 Multipurpose Grease before installation. Install in the reverse order.11. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedure.12. Separate the steering frame lock link.
