Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Tooling (A) provides a means for draining the engine oil from the engine oil filter housing. Tooling (A) is used in order to remove the engine oil filter elements from the engine oil filter housing.
Illustration 1 g03853274Note: Drain the engine oil from the engine oil filter housings by opening drain valves (1).
Drain the engine oil from the engine oil filter housings into a suitable container for storage or for disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil - Change".

Be prepared to hold the covers as the bolts are loosened. A spring force of 204 to 240 N (45 to 54 lb) will be released as the bolts are removed. Ejected parts can cause personal injury.
Remove covers (2). Remove the O-ring seals from covers (2).
Pull out the wire racks.

Remove oil filter elements (3) from each filter bank. Installation Procedure

Install oil filter elements (3) in each wire rack. Move the wire racks and the oil filter elements into the engine oil filter housings.

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Place new O-ring seals on covers (2).
Install covers (2) with the drain valves on the bottom.
Fill the engine with oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil - Change".
