1. Engine Oil Cooler Core
A. Inspect the engine oil cooler core for any leaks.

Repair: Replace the oil cooler core. Drain the crankcase and refill the crankcase with clean engine oil. Install new engine oil filters.
Refer to Disassembly and Assembly and Operation and Maintenance Manual.
2. Cylinder Head Gasket
A. Remove the cylinder head. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly
B. Check the cylinder liner projection. Refer to the Systems Operation and Testing and Adjusting manual.
C. Install a new cylinder head gasket and new water seals in the spacer plate. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly manual.
Cylinder Head Gasket
Result: New cylinder head gasket and water seals were installed.
Proceed to Test Step 3.
3. Water Pump
A. Check the weep hole in the water pump for blockage.
B. Check the water pump seals.
Water Pump
Result: The water pump is leaking.
Repair: Replace the water pump. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly manual for more information.
Result: The water pump is not leaking.
Verify that the repair eliminated the problem.
