Prior to regular operation of the harvester head, an "all open" function followed by an "all close" function must be performed to reset the diameter sensors anytime the machine is turned off. The knives connected to the sensors must be fully open in order for the diameter to reset. If this procedure is not followed, a persistent diameter error will be experienced until the computer is restarted.If a diameter error is experienced or if the head is experiencing erratic or incorrect diameter measurements, the following step should be performed.
Open the knives completely, utilizing the "all open" function key.
Once the knives are completely open reset the diameter by pressing the F9 on the keyboard. If this action is performed with the head closed, the diameter
