Engine arrangements 288-8961, 365-9322, and 365-9323 in dealer parts stock new or dealer rebuilt with the S/N B7C00999 and below will be replaced with the new C175 Type 2 Engine.
For arrangements 288-8961, 365-9322, 365-9323 order 20R-1491.
Engines orders placed for this program must be ordered as a Future Dated Order (FDO) part with a minimum 90 day delivery.
The new engine S/N must be entered in the claims story.
When submitting the claim the reman part number must be the part number used in the claim detail.
****Affected Product****
At Planned Component Replacement (PCR) / overhaul replace the engine with the new C175 Type 2 Engine.
Engine part number 20R-1491 must be ordered for the 793F AC for this
letter to apply.
Engines orders placed for this program must be ordered as a Committed Planned Repair Order (CPRO) part with a minimum 90 day delivery.
A SIMS ticket must be entered listing the NEW engine S/N before this service letter will be paid. Failure to enter a SIMS ticket changing the engine attachment S/N for the claimed truck will cause the service letter claim to be debited.
Instructions on how to change component S/N's in SIMSi is available in the following two places:
The "Help" feature in SIMSi will link to a website that provides documentation by section, in this case you will need to click on "Section 5 - Product Information".
Additionally, Special Instruction, REHS5097, "Instructions to Register the Retrofit" provides the steps dealers need to take to make the S/N change.
The OLD engine S/N should be placed in the "Related Serial Number" field in the claim and the NEW engine S/N should be placed in the "Comments/Findings" field.
The OLD and NEW S/N should also be entering in the claims story.
The replacement engine needs to be validated that it is a Type 2 Engine by verifying the S/N before installation.

365-9323 - B7C01000-UP

Submit a separate claim for each Type 2 reman engine used to replace the new Type 1 engine removed from dealer parts stock. When submitting the claim the reman part number must be the part number used in the claim detail.

The replaced engines must be shipped back to Corinth remanufacturing facility no later than 30 days of receiving replacement engine. Attach a copy of the shipping document to the claim.
