2. Remove four bolts and washers (1) and support (2). 3. Remove eight bolts (3) and trunnion (4). 4. Inspect resilient mount (5) which is part of trunnion (4).5. Remove the resilient mount (5) from the adapter if it is worn or damaged.Install Engine Front Support & Trunnion
1. Be sure the surface for resilient mount (2) on adapter (1) is clean and free of nicks or burns.2. Put adapter (1) in a hydraulic press so the adapter will be evenly supported when resilient mount (2) is pressed into place.3. Place resilient mount (2) on adapter (1) so the vertical centers are aligned. Dimension (x) must be 105.92 mm (4.170 in). Recheck this alignment because incorrect alignment will result in resilient mount damage.
Use Tooling (A) to press only against steel ring (3) of the resilient mount. Do not press against any other part of the resilient mount because damage to the resilient mount will occur.
4. Plate Tool (A) on steel ring (3), and use a hydraulic press to install resilient mount (2) onto adapter (1). Install resilient mount (2) to dimension (Y). Dimension (Y) must be 26.9 to 28.4 mm (1.05 to 1.11 in).End By:a. install the transmission oil cooler.b. install vibration damper and crankshaft pulley.
