Possible damage to components on the machine may occur.Level 3 - This warning level will indicate that the machine needs to have an immediate, safe emergency engine shutdown. Possible injury to the operator or severe damage to components may occur. If an action alarm, alert indicator, or a warning occurs, a pop-up message will override any screen that was displayed on the Advisor display module.
Table 2
Event Codes for the Power Train ECM (MID 113)
Code (Level)    Description    Possible Cause
Recommended Response
E30 (2)     High Transmission Oil Temperature Warning     Temperature of the oil exceeds 120 °C (248 °F) for 5 seconds.
Modify machine operation in order to reduce system load.
Check powertrain oil level.
Check powertrain oil cooler.
Check powertrain oil quality.
E116 (2)     Powertrain Filter Bypass Switch Closed     The switch is open for 5 seconds and the power train oil is above 52 °C (125.6 °F).
Replace the filter.
E155 (2)     High Torque Converter Oil Temperature     Maximum operating temperature of the T/C oil has been reached. 129 °C (264 °F) for 5 seconds
Change machine operation to allow T/C oil to cool. If needed, park the machine and set engine at high idle until T/C oil temp event clears.
E155 (3)     High Torque Converter Oil Temperature     Immediate Safe Shutdown Is Required
Temperature of the T/C oil has reached a critical level.
135 °C (275 °F) for 30 seconds
Allow T/C oil to cool. Park the machine and set engine at high idle until T/C oil temp event clears.
Investigate the reason for the high TCO temp. Check other machines in similar applications to see if site conditions are the cause.
Use Cat® ET datalogger to find contributing conditions, such as gear, machine speed and throttle position.
If transmission oil, engine coolant and inlet air temperatures are also higher, then dirty cooler cores could be the problem.
E531 (2)     Low Transmission Oil Level     Add transmission oil.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8499, "Power Train System Oil Level - Check - Check".
E667 (3)     Machine Overspeed     Torque converter overspeed protection is active when engine speed is above 2300 rpm. The event will remain active until engine speed deceases below 2100 rpm.
Operate the engine below 2100 rpm.
E680 (3)     Access Ladder Lowered With Transmission In Gear     Raise the ladder to avoid damage and to clear the event.
Refer to the following:
Systems Operation, KENR5621, "Ladder Operation"
Testing and Adjusting, KENR5621, "Operational Tests (Ladder)"
Troubleshooting, "Ladder System - D10T, D11T" in this manual
Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8499, "Access
