Use a suitable press and install bearings (24) in arm (14) .

Connect link assembly (17) to idler shaft (16) . Install pivot pin (20) and spring pins (18) .
Install grease fittings in link assembly (17) and fill the cavity with Tooling (A) . Apply Tooling (B) to pipe plugs (15) . Remove the grease fittings and install pipe plugs (15) .
Connect arm (14) to idler shaft (16) . Install pivot pin (22) and spring pins (21) .
Install grease fittings in arm (14) and fill the cavity with Tooling (A) . Apply Tooling (B) to pipe plugs (19) . Remove the grease fittings and install pipe plugs (19) .

Use a suitable press and install bearing cups (13) in hub assembly (4) .
Install studs (12) in hub assembly (4) .

Install lip seal (10) on hub assembly (4) .

Apply Tooling (B) to fitting (9) and install the fitting in hub assembly (4) .

The shimming procedure
Install hub assembly (4) on the spindle.
Install Tooling (D) and bolts (5) . Tighten the bolts to a rolling torque of 28 5 N m (21 4 lb ft).
Loosen bolts (5) . Tighten the bolts to a rolling torque of 11 2 N m (8 2 lb ft).
Install Tooling (C) on Tooling (D) . Use Tooling (C) and measure the depth in the three slots of Tooling (D) . Average the three measurements.
Subtract the height of Tooling (D) from the measurement that is found in Step12.d. This measurement will be the total amount of shims for the shim pack.

Install the shims from Step 12.e. Install end plate (6) and bolts (5) on hub assembly (4) . Tighten the bolts to a torque of 92 N m (68 lb ft).

Apply Tooling (E) to cover (1) . Install cover (1) and bolts (2) on hub assembly (4) .
Apply Tooling (B) on fitting (3) . Install fitting (3) .End By: Install the belt tensioner. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Belt Tensioner - Install".
