On the front side of each tower, drill two 14 mm (0.55 inch) holes and weld two nuts (8). For the location of the holes and weld nuts (8), refer to Illustration 1.

Assemble the following parts on each side of the machine: plate (1), plate (2), guard (3), baffle (4), four washers (5), two nuts (6) and two bolts (7). Refer to Illustration 2 for the location of these parts.Note: Only, perform Steps 3 and 4 for D6N LGP machines.

Use an 8 mm (0.3 inch) thick piece of steel in order to make two 273-8732 Plates. Refer to Illustration 3 for the dimensions of the 273-8732 Plates .

Weld plates (11) to the C-frame. Refer to Illustration 4 for the correct location of plate (11) .

When the blade is lowered below ground level hose (12) or hose (13) becomes stretched. Replace hose (12) or hose (13) with the following hose:
On D6N XL machines, replace 112-7454 Hose As (12) with hose (9) .
On D6N LGP machines, replace 114-6435 Hose As (13) with hose (10) .
