Place the track under the machine. Lower the side of the machine onto the track.

Attach a suitable lifting device to track (5). The weight of track (5) is approximately 1680 kg (3700 lb) to 2600 kg (5750 lb). Use the suitable lifting device in order to position track (5). Lower the machine onto track (5).

Lift the end of track (5). Place suitable cribbing under the grouser of track (5).
Pull the track until the track bushings engage with the sprocket on the final drive.
Start the machine. Turn the final drive in the reverse direction in order to pull the track together. Note: Make sure that the serrations on the master links are clean and dry.

Align the lower ends of master links (4) with the upper ends. Make sure that the serrations of both ends are engaged.

Place master shoe (2) of track (5) in position on master links (4). Apply Tooling (B) to the threads and to the shaft of master link bolts (3). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 340 70 N m (251 52 lb ft). Then, turn the bolts for an additional 180 degrees.

Remove Tooling (A).
Adjust the track. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track - Check/Adjust".
