1. Keep the machine clean. The process of cleaning will reveal loose bolts, hydraulic lines and fittings, and other trouble spots.2. Always keep the operator's station free from grease, oil, loose rags and loose tools.3. Shut the engine down and place all control levers and switches in neutral or off before cleaning, adjusting or servicing the machine, unless the work to be done requires otherwise. For example, adjusting the auxiliary hydraulic system pressure requires that the engine be running.4. Refuel the machine only with the engine stopped. Never smoke or have an open flame in the area when refueling5. Refill the engine radiator only with the engine stopped. Turn the radiator cap slightly to the first stop to relieve the pressure before removing the cap.6. Before starting or continuing operation, correct or report any mechanical deficiency that may cause further damage.7. Block or crib the mainframe or other machine components that are suspended or held aloft by slings, hoists, jacks or hydraulic cylinders before working under or between them.
