When reporting the repair, use "PI3218" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3218" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Rework Procedure
Procedure For Performing Hardness Check
Place the machine on a level surface, stop engine, lower implements to the ground and place the disconnect in the "OFF" position.
Brinell Hardness Check
1. Grind the casting surfaces shown in the Illustration to "BRIGHT" to remove any paint and the casting skin decarb layer.2. Perform the brinell hardness check. Minimum hardness to be BR 3.8.3. If the hardness check is soft, re-grind and recheck.4. If the recheck is below the minimum acceptable hardness, replace the block according to SEHS9356 except that dimension "B" for cutting out the block should be 300 mm (11.81 inches). Rockwell Hardness Check
