ACTION REQUIRED
If the power inverter troubleshooting procedure for power train diagnostic code CID 3430 FMI 14, "Power Inverter Module : Special Instruction", indicates that the power inverter has failed, replace the failed 340-2711 power inverter with a new 448-8194 power inverter or a reman 10R-9928 power inverter.

Install the electronic control modules for the generator and the propulsion module. Install the machine harness and secure using 7K-1181 STRAP-CABLE.
Install the power inverter harness starting at the 70 pin connector on the power inverter. Carefully mate the 70 pin harness connectors to make sure that the jack screws at the connectors are not cross threaded.
There should be more than six complete 360 degree turns of engagement of the jack screw prior to reaching the required torque. Tighten the jack screws to 6.25 +/- 1.25 Nm (55 +/- 11 lb-in).
Using a torque wrench, tighten the three (3) generator cables to 55 +/- 10 Nm (41 +/- 7 lb-ft), the six (6) motor cables to 28 +/- 7 Nm (21 +/- 5 lb-ft), and the Accessory Power Bus Cable connector to 10.5 +/- 0.3 Nm (93 +/- 1.8 lb-in).
Install the two 425-1286 LOCK halves and secure using two 7K-1181 STRAP-CABLE to prevent the Accessory Power Bus Cable connector from loosening. Refer to Image 1.

Hold 340-2711 Power Inverter for a Parts Return Request (PRR). A Parts Return Request (PRR) will be issued to you through the Send-It-Back process after the claim is submitted. Make sure to list the service letter program number on the packing slip and include the closed work order paperwork.
EAME, LACD, and APD:
Hold 340-2711 Power Inverter for 30 days for a possible Parts Return Request (PRR). Make sure to list the service letter program number on the packing slip and include the closed work order paperwork.
If a Parts Return Request (PRR) is not issued to you after 30 days through the Send-It-Back process, handle the parts in accordance with your warranty bulletin on warranty parts handling.
