Raise the temperature of bearing (12) and install bearing (12) to main shaft (1). Fill bearing (12) with 4C-5594 Water and Temperature Resistant Grease .

Lower the temperature of bearing race (10) in order to install bearing race (10) to swivel housing (4) .
Install wiper seal (9) to swivel housing (4) .

Install five glide rings (8) to swivel housing (4). Make sure that the relief grooves are properly positioned. Refer to Illustration 4. Bend glide rings (8) for installation. Refer to Illustration 5 for proper installation. Use a finger in order to shape glide rings (8) to the original shape.

Install O-ring seals (5) to swivel housing (4).
Lower the temperature of bearing race (7) in order to install bearing race (7) to swivel housing (4) .

Attach Tooling (D) to swivel housing (4). Use a suitable lifting device and a hoist in order to lower swivel housing (4) to main shaft (1). The weight of swivel housing (4) is approximately 52 kg (115 lb).

Raise the temperature of bearing (6) and install bearing (6) to main shaft (1). Fill bearing (6) with 4C-5594 Water and Temperature Resistant Grease .

Install locking nut (3) to main shaft (1) .

Attach Tooling (A) to main shaft (1) .
Secure the swivel to Tooling (B) .
Use Tooling (C) in order to tighten locking nut (3). Tighten locking nut (3) (not shown) to a torque of 900 N m (665 lb ft).

Tighten three set screws (2) in locking nut (3) to a torque of 34 N m (25 lb ft).

Attach Tooling (D) to the swivel and remove Tooling (C), Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) from the swivel.
Install O-ring seal (11) to the swivel.
Finish filling the swivel with 4C-5594 Water and Temperature Resistant Grease.
