Marine applications that use the Multi Station Control System (MSCS) and marine engines that are equipped with an ADEMII (A2) Electronic Control Module (ECM) will not determine the desired engine speed accurately. The Powertrain Control Processor (PCP) is not scaling the signal correctly, and must be cleared to restore function.Solution
The issue can be avoided if attention is paid to the throttle control device and the PCP during commissioning. Power up the system, and apply the Intergrated Control Head (ICH), or Control Station Processor (CSP) head training procedure per Operators Guide, LEBM2714, "Multi-Station Control System Operator's Guide" and Troubleshooting, RENR7651, "Marine Multi-Station Control System ", "Control Head - Calibrate". When the procedure is complete then proceed to activate the primary helm station and execute the following steps.
