1. Position frame and bearing assembly (1) on blocks as shown. Mark and identify all hose assemblies for installation purposes.2. Disconnect grease hose assembly (2) from supplementary trunnion bearing (3). 3. Remove four bolts (4) and the locknuts from supplementary trunnion bearing (3). 4. Position a lifting sling to ripper cylinder (5) as shown. Secure the lifting sling to a hoist. Position two M12 × 1.75 bolts to supplementary trunnion bearing (3) as shown. Using two M12 × 1.75 bolts as forcing screws, remove supplementary trunnion bearing (3) from ripper cylinder (5) by applying equal force to each of the forcing screws. 5. Position ripper cylinder (5) against the ripper plate assembly as shown.6. Repeat Steps 2 through 5 for the remaining ripper cylinder. 7. Remove four clips (7) that hold the grease hose assemblies to carriage assembly (6). 8. Position a lifting sling to ripper shank (8) as shown. Secure the lifting sling to a hoist. Remove cotter (9), pin (10), and ripper shank (8) from carriage assembly (6). The weight of ripper shank (8) is 61 Kg (135 lb). 9. Using a suitable lifting device and a hoist, support carriage assembly (6) as shown. 10. Remove bolt (11), the washer, and rod end (12) from link assembly (13). 11. Remove bolt (14) and locknut (16) from pin (15). 12. Position a lifting sling to link assembly (13) as shown. Secure the lifting sling to a hoist.
