Introduction
The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.Problem
The lower 359-4672 Control Valve Gp on the above mentioned machines may have been machined wrong. This defect will cause the top saw to operate whenever any lower machine function is operated including:
Stabilizers
Hydraulic trailer landing gear
Delimber functions
Ground sawThis defect will also cause the delimber knives to close without being activated. If you have one problem, you will also have the other problem experienced with field failures.Solution
If the loader exhibits signs as outlined in the problem descriptions, replace the valve. This failure mode is the only one identified with this issue. DO NOT replace the valve if issues are not identical to the problem description. If you have a different failure mode other than the problem description, follow normal troubleshooting procedures.
