The information supplied in this serviceletter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. Donot perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the terminationdate without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst. This Revised Service Letter replacesthe January 8, 2002 Service Letter. The measuring arm cylinder needs to bereplaced on certain HH45, HH55, HH65 andHH75 Harvesting Heads. The measuringarm cylinder could leak oil and have a poor seal life. A new measuringarm cylinder, which contain improved seals, would provide improved performanceand serviceable life.AFFECTED PRODUCT

Shutdown the machine and turn both disconnectswitches off.
Properly relieve all hydraulic pressurein the machine and properly secure harvesting head for repair. Refer toyour OMM (SEBU7491) for proper procedures.
Replace the 1563852 Measuring Arm Cylinder withthe new 2064594 Measuring Arm Cylinder. Refer to your Disassembly and AssemblyManual for proper removal and installation procedures (RENR3007 for HHserial number prefixes beginning with 2JZ, 3MZ, 4RZ and 5WZ) and (RENR4358for HH serial number prefixes beginning with CFE, CFS, CKJ and CKW).
After installation properly test and adjust themeasuring arm pressures and speeds. Consult your testing and adjustingmanual (RENR3005 for HH serial number prefixes beginning with 2JZ, 3MZ,4RZ and 5WZ) and (RENR4355 for HH serial number prefixes beginning withCFE, CFS, CKJ, and CKW).
