RADIATOR AS 5029685 - Caterpillar

1. Raise the machine with the bucket, and put wood blocks under the front axle housing.2. Remove nuts (2) and washers to remove tire and wheel (1). Weight of tire and wheel is 45 kg (100 lb). 3. Remove protective grease cap (3). 4. Remove cotter pin (4), nut (6) and washer (5) from the spindle shaft. 5. Carefully remove O-ring seal (7) from the spindle shaft. 6. Remove bearing cone (9) and hub assembly (8). 7. Remove bearing cup (10) from the hub if it is damaged. 8. Remove wear sleeve (12) and bearing cup (11) from the hub if they are damaged. 9. Remove bearing cone (13) and seal (14) from the spindle. 10. Remove bolts (15) and plate (16), check seal on plate (16). 11. Remove bottom bolts and plate.12. Remove kingpin (17) and spindle (18). 13. Remove bearing collar (19) from the spindle. 14. Turn the spindle over and remove bearing (20). 15. Remove bearings (21) from the axle housing if they are damaged. Assemble the front axle housing assembly in the reverser order of the disassembly.
