Information:

machine lockout function is used in order to allow a service person to lockout the movement of the machine from the ground level location. While the machine lockout is active, the transmission will be neutralized, and the park brake will be engaged. While the machine lockout is active, the shift lever and operator park brake switch in the cab will be ignored. The machine lockout function is an optional feature that may be installed by the customer. The function will remain inactive unless the machine lockout components are connected to the Transmission ECM. The components for the machine lockout function consist of the Machine Lockout Switch and the Machine Lockout Lamp. When these components are installed, the Transmission ECM, the Brake ECM, the Chassis ECM and the VIMS ECM will work together to perform the machine lockout function. To activate the machine lockout, place the machine lockout switch in the ON position (switch open). The Transmission ECM will check the machine conditions in order to determine if the machine lockout may go active. If the machine conditions are appropriate, then the machine lockout will go active, and the machine lockout lamp will turn ON. Otherwise, the machine lockout will remain inactive, and the machine lockout lamp will FLASH. To deactivate the machine lockout, place the machine lockout switch in the OFF position (switch grounded). The Transmission ECM will check the machine conditions to determine if the machine lockout may go inactive. If machine conditions are appropriate, then the machine lockout will go inactive and the machine lockout lamp will turn OFF. Otherwise, the machine lockout will remain active, and the machine lockout lamp will turn OFF. In this case, the machine lockout will go inactive as soon as machine conditions are appropriate. Because the machine lockout is intended to lock a stationary machine into a stationary state, certain conditions must be met before the machine lockout can change. All of the conditions listed below must be met before the machine lockout can change state.
Shift lever is in the NEUTRAL position
The Ground speed is 0.0 kph
Park brake operator switch is ON
Park brake is ENGAGED
Park brake pressure status is ENGAGEDNote: Once the machine lockout has been activated, it will remain activated until the switch is deliberately turned off by the service person, and all conditions have been met. Turning the machine key OFF will not cause the machine lockout to go inactive. Note: The "VIMS" ECM will issue a warning when the machine lockout is active.
