Replacing the Fumes Disposal Filter
Hot oil and hot components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or hot components to contact the skin.
Note: Shut down the engine prior to performing fumes disposal filter maintenance.
Failure to perform this maintenance at less than 1500 hours will not void the emissions-related warranty.

(1) Filtered air to the air inlet system
(2) Pressurized intake air
(3) Unfiltered crankcase air to separator assembly
(4) Oil drain to crankcase

(5) Separator cover
(6) Service lid
(7) O-ring
(8) Coalescing filterNote: Detailed instructions are included in the service kit.
Disconnect hoses (1) and (2). Air pressure in hose (2) will be relieved after engine shutdown. Remove 4 nuts securing separator cover (5).
Remove separator cover (5).
Loosen 4 captive fasteners securing the service lid (6).
Remove service lid (6).
Remove and replace o-ring (7) each time the filter is replaced.
Remove and replace coalescing filter (8).
Reverse the above procedure to install the new filter.Note: Refer to "Torque Specifications"SENR3130 for information on torque values.
