Start By:
Remove the cushion-hitch pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Cushion-Hitch) - Remove".
Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

Remove four bolts (1) that secure pressure compensator valve (2) to plate assembly (3). Remove pressure compensator valve (2) and the gasket from plate assembly (3). Remove four bolts (4) that secure plate assembly (3) to housing assembly (5). Remove plate assembly (3) and the gasket from housing assembly (5) .

Remove control piston (6) from plate assembly (3) .

Remove needle bearing (7) and guide pin (8) from plate assembly (3) .

Remove rotating group (9) from housing assembly (5) .

Remove retaining ring (10). Remove two washers (11) and remove spring (13). Remove retainer (14) and remove pins (15) .
Remove spherical washer (18). Mark pistons (16) and mark the bores so pistons (16) will be assembled in the original bores. Remove retraction plate (17) and pistons (16) as a unit from barrel (12). Remove pistons (16) from retraction plate (17) .

Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (19) from housing assembly (5). Remove shaft (20) from housing assembly (5) .

Remove seal (21) and washer (22) from shaft (20) .

Use Tooling (B) to remove retaining ring (23) from shaft (20). Remove two thrust bearing races (24) and thrust bearing (25) from shaft (20) .

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove pin retainer (25) from housing assembly (5). Remove cover (26), O-ring seal (27), needle bearing (28) and inner race (29) from housing assembly (5). Repeat the procedure for the other side of the housing assembly.

Remove swashplate (30) from housing assembly (5) .

Remove spring collar (31) and spring (32) from housing assembly (5) .

Turn over the housing assembly. Use Tooling (C) to remove roller bearing (33) from housing assembly (5) .
