Configure the Machine Type
You can configure a new machine with the "Machine Settings" dialog.
Start the Display (1) in Service mode.
From the "Setup Menu - Configuration" dialog, press the "Installation" Hard Key in order to list the items under the "Setup Menu - Installation" dialog.

Use the down Arrow Key or the up Arrow Key until "Machine Settings" is highlighted. Press the "OK" key. A dialog that is similar to Illustration 1 appears.

Input the name of the machine. Press the arrow soft key.A dialog that is similar to Illustration 3 appears.

Select/deselect the fixed sensors that are mounted on the machine by pressing the swap soft key.

For GPS and "UTS" systems, use the down arrow key or the up arrow key until the desired "Radio Type" is highlighted. Press the "OK" key.Select "TCXXXC/CRXXXC". Caterpillar systems normally use the TC series data radio or the CR series data radio.If a third party radio is selected, the data is passed over RS232. Refer to "Customer Supplied Radio" section that is within this document.
Press the "OK" key.

Choose the type of "Grade Control". Press the "OK" key.If "Indicate" is chosen, proceed to Step 16.

Select the "Caterpillar A4:M1" for the Lift Valve module.

Choose the "Auto Controls Range Limit".Caterpillar recommends the default value.
