Reverse rotation can wear out the brushes.
Reverse rotation can increase the ampere draw.
Reverse rotation can reduce the output of airflow.When a new motor is installed, ensure that the motor is turning in a counterclockwise rotation. the rotation can be checked with two methods. Check the arrow on the label or position the motor so the motor is in front of you and the wires are on the right hand side. Then, look at the left end of the motor in order to determine direction of rotation.Items which should be checked for proper rotation of the motor
The motor should produce approximately 350 CFM of airflow with all louvers open.
The current of the motor should be between 8 and 12 amperes.
