Install shaft (2) with four bolts (1) on the cylinder block.

(T) 1.3 mm (0.05 inch)
Use Tool (A) to install the new bearing (4) in the balancer gear (3). Install the bearing so the joint in bearing (Z) is on the weighted side of the gear within 20 degrees of the centerline (Y). Press the bearing into the bore of balancer gear (3) 1.3 mm (0.05 inch) from the opposite surface on balancer gear (3). Refer to Illustration 3.

Put clean engine oil on the inside diameter of the bearing in balancer gear (3). Install balancer gear (3) and plate (6). Make sure that the side of the balancer gear with the weight is toward the cylinder block. Install bolt (5). Check the end play of the balancer gear. The end play should be between 0.15 mm (0.006 inch) and 0.36 mm (0.014 inch).
Ensure that the timing marks on the balancer gear and the camshaft rear gear are aligned during installation.Engine damage will result if the timing marks are not aligned.

Install camshaft rear gear (7) on the camshaft. Make sure that the "v" marks (9) are aligned. Install bolts (8). Tighten bolts (8) to a torque of 27 4 N m (20 3 lb ft). End By:
Install the Flywheel Housing. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flywheel Housing - Remove and Install".
