Information:

The operator should have control over the following inputs in order to control the Autodig System:
Dig mode switch for the Autodig System (7)
Autodig trigger switch (8)
Operation mode switch for the Autodig System (9)
Autodig kickout set switch (12)
Lift control lever (13)
Tilt control lever (14)The Autodig System will control the following outputs:
Raise solenoid
Tilt back solenoid
Dump solenoid
Audible indicator (4)
Indicator led (6)Operation Modes
The operation mode switch for Autodig System (9) provides a method for the operator in order to turn the Autodig System ON and OFF. This switch also allows the operator to easily change between the following modes: Automatic Pile Detection Mode, Operator Triggered Mode and Record Mode.Automatic Pile Detection Mode
The Automatic Pile Detection Mode automatically begins the loading cycle when the bucket contacts the pile. Operator Triggered Mode
The Operator Triggered mode begins the loading cycle when the operator presses autodig trigger switch (8).Record Mode
The Record mode is used in order to record a load cycle in place of the preset load cycle. This mode captures commands from the control levers and lowest transmission gear from the operator during one loading cycle. When the pile is approached in successive cycles, the commands are repeated while the bucket is in the pile. Position 10 on the dig mode switch for the Autodig System is dedicated to the record mode.Operator Override
If the operator moves the implement control levers during any mode, the Autodig System will abort the cycle and the operator has control of the implements.Stages of Autodig System
The Autodig System controls the automatic loading of the bucket. The Autodig System uses information from the following items in order to control the tilt linkage and the lift linkage: linkage position, pressure sensor for the lift head end and data link parameters. The machine progresses through several stages during the load cycle when the Autodig System is used. Certain conditions must be met in each stage before the load cycle can proceed to the next stage. The different stages are listed below:
Autodig idle
Loading front tires
Loading the bucket
Kickout position (Autodig System)
AbortingAutodig idle
The Autodig System checks for the following conditions in order to initiate the loading cycle.
The Autodig System is in Automatic Pile Detection Mode or Operator Triggered Mode.
No diagnostic codes are active.
The lift linkage is less than 610 mm (2 ft) off the ground.
The bucket is within 10 degrees of horizontal plane of the machine.
The vehicle must be moving forward.
The vehicle speed is less than approximately 12.7 km/h (8.0 mph).
The machine is in first speed, second speed, or third speed forward.
No direction changes in the last 2 seconds.
No speed shifts in the last 0.5 second.
Both lift and tilt levers are centered.
Transmission neutralizer has not been active for the last 0.5 second. As the machine approaches the pile, the Autodig System checks the following conditions:
The torque converter output exceeds a certain value that is defined for the type of material.
The torque converter output is increasing at a sufficient rate (Automatic Pile Detection Mode).
The transmission speed is decreasing at a sufficient rate (Automatic Pile Detection Mode).
The trigger switch
