TheCB64B, CB66B, and CB68B can be equipped with a standard single frequency five-amplitude vibratory system or with one of the following optional vibratory systems:
Versa VibeTM vibratory system
Two-amplitude, dual frequency 2520 50 vibrations per minute (low frequency) and 3800 50 vibrations per minute (high frequency) systemEach of the above vibratory systems is hydrostatically driven. The drive system is electronically controlled with closed-loop logic. The hydrostatic drive system rotates eccentric weights inside a housing. The housing and the weights are referred to as the vibratory pod. Each drum is equipped with a vibratory pod.The frequency on all available vibratory systems is controlled by the speed of the eccentric weight shaft. The amplitude on the five amplitude system is mechanically controlled through an amplitude selection wheel on each drum. The amplitude on the Versa Vibe vibratory system is controlled through an amplitude selection wheel on each drum and rotational direction of the eccentric weights. The amplitude on the two-amplitude, dual frequency vibratory systems is controlled by the rotational direction of the eccentric weight shafts.

Engine ECM (2)
Propel lever (14)
Keypad (15)
Display (16)Machine ECM (1) monitors input signals from front vibratory speed sensor (11) and rear vibratory speed sensor (10). The machine ECM uses this input in the closed loop vibratory control logic.Engine ECM (2) sends engine speed information to machine ECM (1) through the CAN communication lines. The machine ECM and engine ECM work together to make sure that the vibratory system only operates when engine speed is inside a specific range. The vibratory control switch is located on propel lever (14). The propel lever sends input from the switch to machine ECM (1) through the CAN communications lines. The machine ECM also uses speed and direction input from the propel lever in the control logic for the vibratory system.Keypad (15) contains several switches that are part of the vibratory control system. The keypad communicates with machine ECM (1) through CAN communications lines. The ECM evaluates the input signals and determines if an output signal should be sent to the vibratory solenoids.Machine ECM (1) communicates with display (16) through CAN communication lines. The display provides vibratory speed information to the operator during vibratory system operation.Note: Machine ECM (1) also uses the condition of the parking brake and the propel mode in the vibratory control logic. Refer to the description of the propel system for additional information about the parking brake and the propel mode.Machine ECM (1) disables the vibratory system if any of the following
